Jalapeno Cheddar Corn Bread

Ingredients

  • Cooking Spray
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 Box Jiffy Corn Bread Mix
  • 1 (8.5 oz.) can cream-style corn
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese (I used a Cracker Barrel Sharp White)
  • 1 Jalapeno pepper, seeded, deveined, and chopped

 

Preparation Directions

  1. HEAT oven to 450°F. Coat 8-inch square baking pan with no-stick cooking spray.
  2. Add the ingredients into a mixing bowl and mix well
  3. Pour into the prepared baking dish
  4. BAKE 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in pan 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm
  5. Cornbread is done when a knife inserted into the center comes out clean
